Youth Leadership Competition
- Awards 2010


Emma Mary Kielty, 6th year student at Portmarnock Community College wins through to the final of the Rotary Youth Leadership Competition.

The Area Final takes place later this year in Dublin when Emma Mary could be one of twenty four Students, all under 18 years, from the island of Ireland who will visit Strasbourg for a week in February 2011 as part of the Leadership Development Week and Euroscola Day at the European Parliament.

The Euroscola Day is a special day in the European Parliament that sees hundreds of young people coming together acting as MEP’s for the day.

The competition is focused on the leadership potential of the entrants and is based on the experiences, organisational skills and personal achievements both on the application form and at interview.

The competition is funded by Rotary International and is a major event on the Rotary calendar.
