| Pakistan - Emergency Relief Appeal |
Chair of Rotary's fundraising committee Dave Murray rallied the troops on the weekend of 1st to 3rd October for an Emergency Relief Appeal to raise much needed funds for flood stricken Pakistan.
The aim was to raise funds to send shelter boxes to the country.
Rotary members donned their high vis jackets and began their collection on Friday in the Pavilions Shopping Centre, Swords before rounding off the day with a whistle-stop collection around the public houses of Swords and then it was back to The Pavilions Shopping Centre, on Saturday.
Many thanks to the management and staff at the Pavilions Shopping Centre and the publicans of Swords for facilitating Rotary Members with their collection.
The collection received great support from the local community and enough money was raised to send several Shelter Boxes to Pakistan.
